This is ideal for new parents, new parents to be & grandparents or anyone who cares for infants and children under the age of 8.  Learn what to do in a Choking or CPR emergency for infants and children.  Participants will have an opportunity to practice on an infant and child manikins.  Workshop is conducted by a certified First Aid & CPR instructor. Workshops are conducted in the comfort of your own home or at one of our training facilities.

Topics include:

     *Learn to handle a cardiac emergency for infants and children.

What every babysitter should know

A course created for the 10 to 13 year old age group.  Designed to teach babysitting, leadership and first aid skills in a fun and informative way.  Students learn how to care for infants, toddlers and older children, what questions to ask parents, how to give first aid and what to do in emergencies.  Activity books, activities, role-playing and hands-on practice teaches skills and builds confidence.  Upon successful completion, each student will receive a St. John Ambulance Babysitter's certificate.  Please contact your local Children's Aid Society for regulations on child supervision.

This is a 7 hour St John Ambulance certification course

Level "C" CPR + AED

This course gives comprehensive CPR training for general public interest or workplace requirement.  Learn CPR techniques for adult, (one rescuer and two rescuer), infants and children.  Also included is emergency scene management, risk factors, prudent heart living, recognition of cardiovascular disease and choking.  A recognized prerequisite for medical, dental, nursing, police, fire and ambulance programs.  Annual retraining in CPR is recommended.

This is a 8 hour St. John Ambulance certification course.

Standard First Aid Level "C" CPR + AED

Standard First Aid & Level C CPR are combined to create one course for convenience and economy.  Annual retraining in CPR is recommended.  Often this is a recognized prerequisite for medical, dental, nursing, police, fire and ambulance programs. A renewal course designed to review knowledge and skills of CPR techniques as learned in level "C" CPR full course.  Students are strongly advised to review course material before attendance in order to ensure successful completion.    Books are not provided for renewal classes.

Standard First Aid Level "C" CPR Renewal + AED

This course is designed for persons holding a valid St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid & Level C CPR certificate who want to renew before it expires.  Renewal of a certificate is permissible on a "once only" basis.  Further renewal must be alternated with attendance on a full course.  Books are not provided for renewal classes.
